I am getting ready to purchase a few books on running, some training, some fun running books and would love to hear what you have read. There are a ton of books out there and way to many to review...so figured you could help!
I am looking at getting a few of Jeff Galloways books:
Marathon You Can Do It
Galloway's Book on Running
And also:
Run Like a Mother
What have you read? What have you enjoyed?

Thanks for your sweet comments. I hope I didn't make it sound bittersweet. Running your first will be a great experience no matter what! Then you'll be hooked! The exhilaration that comes from doing something that you thought previously was impossible is life changing. I crossed that finish line believing that I could do anything! I'm so excited for you!
As for books: I really liked Chi Running and Performance Nutrition for Runners. I can't say that I follow that last one, but aspire to do so.
How about The Runner's Rule Book by Mark Remy. It's a funny book and an easy read.
I really like "Brain Training for Runners" by Matt Fitzgerald.
I second the votes for Brain training for Runners and Run Like a Mother!
Also Born to Run
and The Athlete's Way by chris Berglund
hi, just found your blog and became a follower! i'm looking forward to following your training for your first marathon! best of luck!
Any book by George Sheehan, a runners philosopher. These are not training books but his mussings about running and life. Had he been alive he would be the best blogger out there.
50 50 by Dean Karnazes was very inspirational, about how he ran 50 marathons in 50 days.....and ya gotta read Born to Run!
Any of the Dean Karnazes books are AWESOME! You can Borrow 50 in 50 from me if you want, but I would want it back, I LOVE LOVE it!!
Damn it all my books are packed.. Will offer onc eI get unpacked..
